About Oli
A relational and integrative approach to psychotherapy.
I’m a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, working in private practice with adults experiencing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, obsessional thinking, relationship difficulties and the effects of traumatic experiences.
My approach combines psychological depth with practical change. I’m interested in understanding the patterns that shape how you experience yourself, your relationships and the world around you, while also helping you make meaningful changes in the present.
My background
My core psychotherapy training was in Transactional Analysis (TA), an approach that explores how our experiences shape the way we understand ourselves, relate to others and develop recurring patterns.
My practice has developed into a broader relational and integrative approach, also informed by attachment theory and contemporary approaches to psychological change. I draw on these different perspectives to understand difficulties in context, rather than viewing them in isolation.
Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I work as a clinical supervisor, supporting other therapists in reflecting on their clinical work and professional development.
My Style
My style is active, engaged and curious rather than simply listening passively and reflecting your thoughts. I’ll ask questions, offer observations and sometimes gently challenge patterns or assumptions that may be keeping you stuck.
I want therapy to be a space where we can think together about what is happening, rather than you simply talking while I listen.
I also think it is important that therapy feels like a genuine relationship between two people. You can bring things that feel difficult, confusing or uncomfortable to talk about, and we can explore them openly.
Over time, the way you relate to other people — around trust, closeness, boundaries or conflict — may also become something we can notice and understand through the work. The aim isn't simply to understand yourself better, but to use that understanding to create greater choice in how you live and relate to others.
Training and professional development
Alongside my core psychotherapy training, I have undertaken additional training in working with OCD and anxiety, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), predominantly mental OCD and intrusive thoughts, and hyperawareness or Sensorimotor OCD.
I also regularly undertake continuing professional development to deepen and expand my clinical knowledge and enhance the work I offer to clients.
Professional memberships & ethics
I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP - registration number 2011186220) and a member of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA). I work in accordance with the ethical and professional standards of the organisations of which I am a member.
